Trendspotting-Shoulder Pads Under $90

Big Shoulders are back and in full effect. I remember all of my mother shoulder pads shirts and dresses. I thought they were the most god forsaken fashion choice. Having something perched right on my shoulder to give the illusion of a women linebacker. NOT!!!

But one day I had a true awaking, I NOW LOVE SHOULDER PADS. I dont what changed for me, but the silhouette of the body with the outward tails of shoulder pads is a divine combination. I now want blazers, dresses, shirts with shoulder pads.

A great to achieve this look for less is checking your local thrift shops for some vintage finds.

Seen In Action- Forever 21 Abstract Mini $15.80

I discovered my next seen in action on Chictopia. A user by the name of Playingwithfire created a great fall look with the abstract mini from Forever 21. A peep toe shoe is great to transition from summer to fall with some knee high stocking as pictured below. This is a great play on conservative/sexy. The skirt from Forever 21 is only $15.80. It is not available in black and white anymore.

Trendspotting-Sequins

Sequins have always been a favorite. I reminds of the the glorious debauchery the was Studio 54. The lights and glamour is something that I crave. Sparkle and glitz is always a girl best friend, whether it be some bling or just a accent of shine we can all appreciate some shine.

These are some great example of sequins done right. Pairing sequins with something a lot less casual will still create the look without going overboard. Sequins OVERLOAD is not a pretty sight. And if you are going to go all out, one item only like a dress will surely keep on the right track. Shopping your local thrift stores is a great way to find this trend. Vintage is always in.
