Job/Interview Worthy Wardrobe Items Under $30

Knowing the state of our job market and economy being in catastrophic state, people are looking for employment or trying to hold onto their employment for dear life. First Impressions and Image being everything, why not look the part. Its TIME TO DRESS FOR SUCCESS.

Here are some examples/questions of being work appropriate while still keeping with the season.

1. When dressing for the work place always ask yourself these questions:

  • Is the appropriate for the dress code?
  • How close is the fit to my body/Am I showing to much skin?
  • Is the length acceptable?
  • How do I feel in this dress?

*When asking these questions this is a great way to by your own worst critic. My motto is "If you are not comfortable, Do Not Wear It".

2. Do not accessory overkill. Jewelry is the perfect example. Keeping accessories to a minimal is key. The style of the accessory very much counts too. Nothing should ever be "Over The Top". The phrase "Less is more" definitely applies.

*Always take an inventory of your look, and take one item off. (I know Coco Chanel made a quote about this but I can't remember the exact words)

3. Footwear is like the icing on a cake, they finish the look. The height and style of the shoe is very important. Making sure the shoe is tasteful and professional are key.

*Never having a heel over 3 inches is a great way to ensure that you still have sophistication while still keeping a professional demeanor.
